"Nate"
After our brief warm-up we had the following mini-WOD:
3 Rds:
500M Row
1 minute rest
My Total time – 8:36ish (I can't remember if it was 8:34 or 8:36...not that it really matters, eh?)
Then everyone else did front squats, but since I seem to be falling apart these days, and I am having an issue with my right knee, I'm not squatting anything more than a PVC these days. So I chose shoulder press:
My loads:
3 @ 35, 40 45, 50, 55, 60, 65
Then it was time for the WOD which was "Nate" today:
as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:
2 muscle ups
4 handstand push ups
8 kettlebell swings 70 lbs men, 45 lbs women
Since I cannot do a muscle up, I modified as follows:
3 Chest to Bar Pull ups
4 Handstand Push-ups – MOD
8 Kettlebell swings (45 lb)
My score: 9 rounds + 2 c2b, 3 hspu
I'm getting a lot stronger/better at chest to bar pull ups. I'm still re-setting between each one. I need to learn to kip and get a few in a row. Getting that height is tough on just one, let alone stringing them together, but I have to make some progress somewhere!!!
As for this knee problem, I guess I'll give in and go see a doctor if it's not better by next week.
