“The Bear Complex”
One of my favorite workouts today!!
7 Sets of the sequence:
Power clean
Front squat
Push press
Back Squat
Push press
5 Rounds
Rest as needed between rounds.

Round 1: 55 lbs
Round 2: 65 lbs
Round 3: 75 lbs
Round 4: 85 lbs
Round 5: 95 lbs - failed
I know I can do the 95 lbs all the way through. It was a mental issue this morning, I'm sure. I had been coming out of the front squat and right into the push press, like a thruster. But this time I paused, then did the press, etc., and in my mind it became "heavy". On the next set after the back squat, it just slid right down my back and onto the floor - FAIL. I just mentally checked out on the last round, as B pointed out. And yeah, she's right. My head wasn't completely in it.

ReplyDeleteWow, that's gnarly any way you slice it. I've never done the 7 reps per round nor increasing weight. Strong work, even if you don't think so ;)
